About Us

Established in 1982, Poetry West is a non-profit and voluntary organization which offers a place for Poets and Writers to gather for the enjoyment of poetry. (* Review by-laws) We meet the first Saturday of each month (except in January when we meet on the second Saturday) from 10-12 a.m. in the Worner Center at Colorado College in downtown Colorado Springs.

We host, organize and participate in a number of poetry related events in the Pikes Peak region. For example, Poetry West is proud to help sponsor the Pikes Peak Poet Laureate project. Learn more about it here: www.pikespeakpoetlaureate.org.
